Colorado City Photos

The choir of the Baptist church that now houses the Old Colorado City History Center. The original Choir loft was high up on the west side of the building. It was restored in 1993 with a State Historical Preservation grant

Built in 1890, this photo is circa 1950's. The Baptists built a new modern church on Colorado Avenue. This building was sold to other denominations including a splinter group from the Emmanuel Missionaries. They sold it to the Old Colorado City Historical Society in 1992. The door behind the choir leads to the audio-visual room, and rear door. The door to the right leads down the hall; to the bathrooms, offices and computer center, now.

Westsiders who were married here have come back and renewed their vows in our Center. And many small wedding receptions are held here today.
