2514-22 West Colorado Avenue, 1975, before revitalization, which was planned by Dave Hughes and Gene Brent (Brent Arms) around a pot-bellied stove in the 1870's frame building 2516

Notice the very narrow shop front at 2514 1/2. This was an original "Horse Alley" of Colorado City. The women made the town fathers prohibit horses on the boardwalk, hence building owners had to leave "deeded" 5 foot wide horse alleys. Today this alley is open to parking in the rear, and is named "Brent Path". Rogers Bar is on the left.(operated between 1945-1998)
