F. D. Steele and Co. Hardware (first sign on the left) is not listed in the State Business Directory for 1881, but is in 1884.
The Oyster Bay Restaurant was listed in 1881, as was the Gunnison House. The Bennet and Lowe Meat Market is not listed in either 1881 or 1884.
Moses L. Block Dry Goods and Clothing (the last sign before the telephone pole) is listed in 1884, and in 1881, but the spelling was BLOCH in 1881.
