Colorado City


    1896 or 1897, A Bar and possibly a wholesale beer outlet on the south side of West Colorado Avenue, probably between 24th and 29th streets. Edward Charles Schmickel is in the apron, and his father, Edward Gustav Schmickel is to his left. Other man are not known. The Elder Schmickel brought the family to Colorado City in 1896, and was associated with Fritz Asmus, and John Keller in Mining and perhaps the operation of the bar.
