This is the trolley to Colorado City and Manitou Springs, going west on what was then Huefano Ave. It was later re-named Colorado Avenue. (there has been lots of confusion about this. Colorado Avenue was laid out August 1859 and has never changed its name. After Colorado Springs was founded in 1871, the new town's founders named the street inside Colorado Springs and as far west as Limit Street (near today's 7th) as 'Huefano Avenue, which 'connected' to Colorado Avenue that ran through Colorado City. Sometime after annexation of Colorado City , Colorado Springs changed its street's name to Colorado Avenue.
So the pictiue was taken inside Colorado Springs short of Limit Street.
