The Old Colorado City Historical Society was founded as a volunteer organization to recognize the historical significance and unique culture of the original Old Colorado City and early El Paso County. This spirit is perpetuated through the preservation of artifacts and archival materials, encouragement of research, education of children and the community through the membership and operation of the History Center at 1 South 24th Street. The History Center displays the stories of the life and personality of the many
pioneers who made early El Paso County, the original Colorado City, and the Westside - their home, their workplace, and their community. The History Center not only provides a physical place to view many artifacts, photographs and displays, it contains an historical book and gift store. It also provides a place to attend programs, start tours,conduct research, and meet other history buffs. It is staffed 100% by volunteers. Email Contact:
