The Old Colorado City History Center is located at One South 24th Street in Old Colorado City. The History Center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The admission is free.
The History Center represents the interwoven stories of
the life and personality of the many people who made Old Colorado City their
home, their workplace and, most importantly, their community. The History Center
will not only provide a physical place to view the many artifacts and photographs,
but also provide a place to conduct research.
| Our
History Center, across the street from Bancoft Park, can be rented for
Community Meetings, Receptions and small parties. Contact the President
of the Society - Beverly Disch 719-634-5023 - for terms |
| Qualified
Society Members will do historical research on the original Colorado
City and its citizens for $10 an hour. Photographs from our Collection (over 20,000) may be purchased - including ones from this Web Site - for use in other publications or for personal use, and copies made to order. Or awarded a license for use for commercial purposes. We do not have absolute rights to every picture. Check. |
