This 126 page "Historic WestSide Design Guidelines" is just out.
It is intended to be a professional architectural Guide to the many historical styles of westside homes dating back to the 1880s. Those hoping to remodel their homes will find practical advice on how to do so while preserving its historical character.
The printed Guidelines, paid for by a City-State Historical Fund grant are free for the asking by any westside homeowner or remodeler. Copies may be picked up at our Historical Center 1 South 24th Street. They are also available at the Westside Community Center, and in the City Administration building.

What could be more fun than learning about some of the world’s earliest bicycles and those who repair and collect them! And where is the technology going for today’s bicycles? Come see some of these “ordinaries” and other styles of bicycles.
John Crandall, owner of Old Town Bike Shop, will share the stage with Paul Rust and Chris Mike. Paul is the owner of a Westside neighborhood business, Rocky Mountain High Wheels. Chris collects old bicycles and will share some of his special finds. Crandall will bring us up-to-date with current bicycles and the popularity of biking today.
Come early for coffee and look at the museum’s antique bicycle display. OCCHistory Center, 1 South 24th St, Colo Springs, CO 719-636-1225
