Mrs. Murat

Mrs. Murat was the only woman in the prospecting party organized by Captain John Price in Westport, Missouri. The prospecting party reached the Pike's Peak region in August 1858. Anthony Bott and George A. Bute, prominent Colorado City founders, were among Mrs. Murat's traveling companions.
